For the Gale Watch, northwest winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and seas 6 to 9 feet possible. * WHERE...Coastal Waters from Montauk NY to Marthas Vineyard extending out to 20 NM South of Block Island. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the Gale Watch, from Friday evening through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.
