The areas affected include... Gulf of America including Dry Tortugas and Rebecca Shoal Channel... At 354 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over Pulaski Shoal Light. The thunderstorm was nearly stationary. Locations that will be affected include... Pulaski Shoal Light, Fort Jefferson, and Dry Tortugas. Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down. Prepare for rainfall rates up to INSERT RAINFALL RATE inches per hour. Make sure bilge passages and scuppers are clean of any debris or obstruction.
